EMERGENCY PRESS RELEASE 06 September 2024 EMERGENCY TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER: SAND PIT LANE/BACK LANE LONG CLAWSON Leicestershire County Council Highways has agreed to a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order at the above location.

An urgent road closure is required on Sand Pit Lane/Back Lane on 09th of September 2024 for 1 day (09:00hrs – 15:00hrs). The Temporary Traffic Regulation Order will be implemented for public safety so Leicestershire County Council can carry out repairs to the deteriorated carriageway surface in this location. The current carriageway works on The Sands and East End will be completed today 06th Sept 2024 by 15:00hrs.

The proposed alternative diversion route will be via: -- Melton Road Long Clawson, Clawson Road Ab Kettleby, Waltham Lane, East End, The Sands, Back Lane, Sand Pit Lane and vice versa.
