Green Infrastructure Strategy and Action Plan 2024

We are pleased to inform you that Melton Borough Council is consulting on the Green Infrastructure Strategy and Action Plan 2024. The consultation is open until Friday 6 September 2024, 12 noon. We invite you to have your say!

Green Infrastructure (GI) is defined in the National Planning Policy Framework as a network of multi-functional green and blue spaces and other natural features in urban and rural areas. Well designed and managed Green Infrastructure (GI) generates multiple benefits for people and nature and creates greener, healthier places to live that supports a more productive economy.

You can find more information and the online response form at haveyoursay.melton.gov.uk. Alternatively, you can find hard copies of documents and paper response forms at Melton Borough Council Parkside Office Reception, Melton Mowbray Library and Bottesford Library during normal opening hours or your local Parish Council upon request.

The Green Infrastructure Strategy and Action Plan 2024 is linked to the Open Spaces Strategy 2024, which was consulted on in March 2024
